			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h2><span style="color:#00ffff;">Today I quit the gym. I haven&#8217;t been committed, haven&#8217;t been going, and really can&#8217;t afford it. It is the street for me. That said, I haven&#8217;t been exercising at all this week. But I did read a book about intrinsic exercising. About developing the joy in movement, and becoming inner directed to exercise. Having it become natural. What I have always called &#8220;turning the screws in my head the right way to make exercise become a part of my daily life and how I see myself.</span></h2>
<h2><span style="color:#00ffff;">Have gotten a friend to sign up for the King Cake 5K with me. We are going to walk it, and will start meeting once a week to walk perhaps. It will be much nicer to have somebody else to be with. And since I won&#8217;t be running, I should have a better picture and my time should be better.</span></h2>

Who wants to go with me and walk (run? just a little?) at the King Cake 5K Feb 11.  Won&#8217;t be in shape to run the whole thing. Don&#8217;t know if I ever will be able to run again. My overhang is worse. Need to start walking and running again. The King Cake 5K is coming up in less than a month. I should be able to train up to it, to walk half and run half. Need to find a workout partner.  At work, it is easy to make resolutions and plans, because you don&#8217;t have to get out and do anything just then. But home is a different matter. Waking up early is very hard to do, when you are out of the habit. And have been having trouble getting to bed at a decent time, and also falling asleep. I know that running would help cure a lot of these things.</span></h2>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h2><span style="color:#993366;">According to the scale at the emergency clinic that I brought my husband to today, I weigh 56 pounds more than my little bathroom scale at home says. How depressing.  But the good news, is that even though I haven&#8217;t lost quite as much as I believed I had, I am at least maintaining it (within5 lbs) over the last few months of no exercise and snarky eating. I did go twice this week. And will be running more. A lot of hard work still to go. </span></h2>
<h2><span style="color:#993366;">Anyway, maybe Tarzhay will have scales on sale this week. And unmentionables. </span></h2>

Went through it twice, ran 1.9058 mile with 2 walking sessions, which are not counted in the running time and distance. The running cadence chants keep your mind off the pain, and make you feel tougher than you really are. The weather is fantastic. Nice and cool, though I warmed up. A nice 59 degrees on waking up, contrast to last week, waking up at a warm 80 degrees.  Gotta go. Keep on running.</span></h2>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h2><span style="color:#008080;">Today after all the tropical storms and three days of rain, we have cooler weather. It would be criminal not to run as cool as it is outside at the moment. So I went out and ran. Such as I do. Walked the track in the park once, then hit the street. Ran off and on for a total of 18 min, total exercise time 42 min. This cooler weather is a treat. Naturally, I am in crappy shape, and been eating way too much all the time. I am starting over again. Hope that I can get it together and lose a bunch more weight and go down a few more sizes. Need all the encouragement that I can get. </span></h2>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h2><span style="color:#993366;">Summer sucks. At least down here. There are no two ways about it. It is too hot to do much of anything. I really admire the people from the running club who run in the heat. For one thing, fat as I am, I have to be careful in the heat. I also get a lot of discouragement at home too, not to get too hot and etc. Face it, I have not been going to the gym much, and I have been eating too much. The biggest part of losing weight and exercising regularly for me is the mental battle. That is the absolute hardest part about any change. Turning the screws in your head. Knowing that you are changing your life is hard. It is easier to let entropy take over. And the people in your life do not always want you to change. Which is bull crap. Here you are, doing what is the hardest thing, changing your life, doing scary stuff, and here they are, wanting to keep the status quo. It is easy to say &#8220;don&#8217;t let them hold you back&#8221; but living with them you can&#8217;t ignore them and their feelings. And I have enough to worry about with myself, to have to start reassuring people and worrying about their feelings. Yes, I am selfish. Being aware of it doesn&#8217;t excuse it, or make it better, but I believe some selfishness is good.</span></h2>
<h2><span style="color:#993366;">Yes I need to go run again. And eat better, and stay with it. I need to feel worthy of exercise and being thinner and feeling better. Right now I don&#8217;t feel worthy. I don&#8217;t feel great. I feel like everybody else is thinner, in better shape, smarter, better looking, richer and are tan and have better jobs. And much, much faster than me.<br />

Unfortunately could not get my favorite treadmill on the end,(which does NOT face a mirror) the annoying bald man who turns the volume on the tv news was on it. Don&#8217;t know why he doesn&#8217;t just plug in the headphones into the unit and listen. Everybody else just uses headphones. That&#8217;s another thing. Why does the gym play loud music when everyone has their own headphones? That means you have to turn yours up extra loud to block them out. And go deaf into the bargain. Anyway, enough bitching. My weight on the scale at the gym keeps going up. Must stop eating in the evenings. My biggest pitfall. Maybe if I took my lazy ass into the gym in the evenings too, I could not eat over there, and do something useful, but I won&#8217;t do it. Not once the couch butt magnet gets ahold of me. Made sure I ran the last minute at a faster rate. It was not hard, and I felt the better for it. Got to get my speed up to a decent rate so I can run in mixed company. </span></h2>
